Darrell: While i walked with God at a young age, by the time i was in high school i was mainly relying on intellect and "spiritual deep thought" to try to get close to God. It was in my freshman year in college when God met me in a powerful way and put a burning in my heart to totally trust and surrender to His Son and to turn from all sin; he opened my mind to believe the whole Bible, he filled me with the Holy Spirit and gave me spiritual gifts, He incorporated me into a local church for the first time in my life, and He commissioned me to spread the Good News of what Christ did by dying for our sin. Later i would meet my wife through college ministry.
Adoration Apologetic
Darrell: What you did in my life is proof that you love people like me enough not to leave us mired in self-absorbed philosophy, outward performance and bondage to secret sins. You brought me into the light, and anytime i have gone back into some sort of disobedience or leaning on my own understanding, you have been gracious and lovingly, sternly, appropriately, put me back on the right path, and you have blessed me the whole way.
